Welcome to Aberystwyth Student Media’s Freshers’ 2015!

Welcome to Aberystwyth and welcome back for another year if you are a returning student! Aberystwyth Student Media is your hub for information, news and the latest events. All of our content is created by students for students, it is fresh, current and important to you. Our radio station, TV channel and student newspaper will provide you with an insight into everything going on at your university. As Chair, my role is to ensure that our media channels openly benefit you. Whether it is breaking news, the latest events or sports updates, you will get the best coverage directly from ASM.

At the heart of our university town is an eternal community which we strive to replicate within our society. If you want to be part of a fast-paced media group which brings the best of Aberystwyth to our student body, then come meet the team at a fresher’s event or drop into our office located in the student’s union.

When you are not recovering after a big night out or getting your head down in lectures, watch Bay TV, tune into Bay Radio and pick up your free copy of The Courier. We hope to ensure your year at university is a memorable one. Be sure not to miss the wild sea air, thriving pubs and panoramic sunsets which Aberystwyth has to offer, like so many other students, I am glad to be back.

About ASM

As an organisation, we operate independently of the Students’ Union and University. All of our content is produced by Aberystwyth students on a voluntary basis. We’re always looking for new members – however you want to be involved, Aber Student Media is the place for you!

To find out more, stay tuned to both our facebook and twitter pages where we’ll publish details of our meetings, socials, and training events – as well as regularly updating you with news, sport, opinion, arts, and lifestyle content from across our strands.

Feel free to email us via the links on our website, or drop by our office (G13) downstairs in the Union.
