Uni gaffe leads to new road system

A GAFFE by university planners has meant that works vehicles are currently unable to access significant areas of campus.

As part of the work carried out around the news IBERS building over the past twelve months, University sources have revealed that the road underneath the Llandinam building has been raised by approximately one foot.

This minor alteration has meant that heavy goods vehicles are now unable to be used for works at the bottom of campus because they are unable to leave the site via the steep hill past the Sports Science building.

Following the issue being raised in the Health, Safety and Environment Committee, University bosses are now reported to be consulting on how best the issue could be solved. It has been suggested that one of the possibilities would be installing traffic lights on the road that runs above the Llandinam building and past the astroturf pitch. The incline would be shallow enough to allow works vehicle access, but is currently a one-way street.
