Owen, a third year Physical Geography student, came into the squad late in his first year but made an immediate impact in the front row. He progressed quickly into the starting 3 shirt for the 1st XV squad and has retained the shirt ever since. His natural leadership skills saw him be unanimously voted in as this year’s Captain. He aims to play professional rugby in Wales after completing a Masters.
Lewis Barrett (Parling) Aged 20

Likes: Cricket, West Ham, gaming, reading and London Wasps
Dislikes: Early morning lectures, Penglais Hill, The Kardashians, Nigel Farage and tomatoes
Lewis, a third year Biology student, is the perfect utility forward being able to switch between back row and second row seamlessly. This makes him valuable in any squad, and has seen him cement his position in the 1st team squad, whether that be as a starting player, or a great impact sub bringing pace and a high skill set to the forwards. He’s often found in Yokos or Harleys; offer him a VK and he will give you his heart. Earning his nickname due to his striking similarity to Geoff Parling with his trademark man-fuzz, he is easy to spot so make sure you say hello to this socialite if found on a night out.
Connor Nealon (The ‘American’ Ginger) Aged 20
Height: 6’1” Weight: 91.5kg Position: Hooker
Likes: American Football, Netflix, the gym, Lebanese food and travelling
Dislikes: Clutter, raisins, Twitter, Arriva Trains Wales and the Dallas Cowboys
Connor, a third year International Politics student, has worked his way up through the ranks of the team. Learning his trade as a hooker when he joined the University, this mobile front row player has earned his place among the 1st team squad with several appearances off the bench and a handful of starts. With the versatility to cover loose head prop, he is one of the most improved players in the team. He will be pushing hard for a starting spot this year, and will undoubtedly earn that position. Hailing from America, Connor has lived on four continents and enjoys learning about new cultures. Known to be one of the nicest guys around, he is always a friendly face to come across.
