ABERYSTWYTH University’s multi-million development, Fferm Penglais, will not be ready for the new term. The accommodation has an expected capacity of 1,000 rooms in total, but 300 rooms remain unfinished.
The University says Balfour Beatty, the developer, has confirmed that the remaining 300 rooms will be completed within the upcoming 2015/2016 academic year, and will be fully completed by September 2016. They were also keen to stress that the unfinished rooms have not been let to students, and no student has been left without accommodation.
The full story will appear in the Freshers’ Edition of The Courier out next week.
