The Vice-Chancellor is not leaving Aberystwyth

ABERYSTWYTH University have denied rumours that Vice Chancellor April McMahon is resigning her post. A university spokesperson said in a statement:

“The Vice-Chancellor is working hard to develop the University for future generations of students and staff. There is no suggestion on either the University or the Vice-Chancellor’s part that she will be leaving Aberystwyth.”

Rumours have been circulating for several weeks that April McMahon would be leaving Aberystwyth to take up the role of Vice Chancellor at Northumbria University. Northumbria University also denied the rumours, stating that:

“There are no vacancies here.”

Further rumours about a financial pay-off to leave the university were also denied.
