AN ABERYSTWYTH man has gone missing from his home in Aberystwyth and has not been seen since Thursday.

A search was launched on Friday afternoon  for photographer Terry Hudson, 48, by Coastguard teams from Aberystwyth and Borth surrounding the area of Constitution Hill, assisted by Aberystwyth inshore lifeboats on Saturday, following a request from Dyfed-Powys Police.

Hudson, who is known as “Pinky Marvin”, works as a photographer and is regularly seen at a range of local events. He also works with student theatre companies.

According to Aberystwyth residents, there has been a helicopter hovering around the harbour, Penparcau and Pendinas, and police and dog units searching around the area. The lifeboats and coastguard are now believed to have been stood down.

It has also been reported that friends of Hudson have also been searching for him throughout Friday night.

Hudson is described as 5ft 11ins (1.8m) tall, slim, with shoulder-length black hair and wears glasses, and is believed to have been wearing a black coat over an orange cardigan when he went missing. He is originally from Birmingham, and has a Midlands accent, but has lived in Aberystwyth for about 10 years.

Tom Payne, one of Hudson’s friends, said: “Different people in small parties have been searching along the coastal path, the rivers and the beaches in Aberystwyth for Terry. He left his property on foot and did not take his keys or his phone and left his dog in the house.”

He went on to stress the worry Mr Hudson’s family and friends are facing and promoted a Facebook page to help in the search for him, which can be found here.
