£10k left on library cards

A REQUEST made under the Freedom of Information Act has revealed that £10,943 of unused credit was deleted from catered students’ library cards at the end of the academic year 2011-2012. The same request revealed that the the total cost of the recent upgrade of the library card system, which involved issuing every student with a new card, cost the University £24,000.

Vigil for Peace at town clock

A VIGIL organised by Aberystwyth Friends of Palestine was held at the town clock on Friday 16th November. Around 50 people attended with flags, placards and candles to protest the recent events in Gaza. The vigil was held as part of a co-ordinated weekend of protests held across the world.
