Aberystwyth Carnival makes a comeback after 12 years

ABERYSTWYTH carnival made a reappearance last weekend after a hiatus of 12 years. Despite a relatively low turnout following poor advertising, the 2012 carnival has built solid foundations for the coming years.

There were a few float entries from local pubs including The Ship and Castle and The Castle as well as Yr Hen Llew Du.

The procession formed up outside the Lifeboat station in the town where judging of entries also took place, before the flotilla made its way through the town to the bandstand on North Beach.  The Aberystwyth Lifeboat Station had their open day at the same time and provided further entertainment as well as food and drinks.
