CK’s admit misleading customers

CK Supermarket Ltd. have admitted misleading customers at their shop in Waunfawr after Ceredigion Council brought seven prosecutions against the company for a range of pricing offences.

In relation to last summer, CK’s admitted to mispricing a cabbage and a pack of tea bags, and advertised packs of Heinz spaghetti and apple juice as special offers when the offers were not available at the till.

The company pled guilty to the first four charges, laid under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, and the Council then withdrew three further charges which related to Pepsi Max, Pepsi Regular and a Savoy cabbage. CK’s will be sentenced on 26 April.
