Things are looking up for Aber’s train services

ARRIVA Trains have expressed their interest in developing closer working relationships with the Guild and University, after it took the efforts of The Courier to ensure students aren’t left stranded this Christmas. Stakeholder Liaison Manager Ben Davies is keen to see relations improved between Arriva and the University, which could mean better services regularly provided at peak times, such as the end of terms.

The promised one train per hour service – effectively doubling the number of trains to and from Aberystwyth – is still caught up in the approval stage by the Welsh Government. However, as soon as the money is made available to Arriva, the new services can start.
